I grew up in Minsk, Belarus, and moved to the U.S. with my family when I was 8. I came up with the concept of Birch Tree Academy when I realized how important both academic and social development was for my own children. After I wasn’t able to find that combination in any schools I visited, I decided to create it. It was so exciting when I realized other parents were looking for the same thing, and our preschool was born! Although my main job is handling business and operations, I love getting to know all of the kids and playing with them during their outside breaks.

I believe that each child should be celebrated for their uniqueness, and that early childhood education provides the foundation for the lifelong process of learning. Most of my adult life, I have been working with children as a preschool teacher in addition to running a program that provides early intervention. I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology, and I completed a dual master’s program in education. I was born and raised in a small town in Arizona and moved to Washington several years ago. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, participating in community events, and spending time with my husband, daughter, dogs, family, and friends. I am also looking forward to building quality relationships with the children, families, and staff here at Birch Tree.

Hello, my name is Sierra. I grew up in Bothell, WA, and have lived in the Pacific Northwest my entire life. I come from a large family, and I believe that experience helped shape my passion for Early Childhood Education. I’ve had the privilege of working with children for over 10 years now, most recently teaching the 2’s class at our Bothell location.

When I’m not working, you’ll often find me enjoying time with my family, friends, and my dog, as we explore the endless outdoor adventures this beautiful region has to offer, whether it's hiking, camping, or simply spending time outdoors, I always find peace and joy in connecting with nature.

I’m excited to join the Birch Tree Support Team and look forward to continuing to support the growth and expression of the children, even from behind the scenes!

I was born in Russia in the city of Perm, located on the border of Europe and Asia. In 2019, I came to America and started working at Birch Tree as a cook. I have two grown-up sons. The older one is in the U.S. Army, the younger one is a student. All my working experience is related to nutrition. I graduated from college majoring in food engineering technology and food service management. I love cooking and am very happy when my food is enjoyed by children.

Physical Education

I was born and grew up in New York on Long Island. I received my bachelors of science in Biology from Binghamton University and spent time working in a toxicology lab after school. Before I moved all the way out to Seattle, I spent a year working at a special needs preschool with some incredible kids. Now I am excited to become part of the Birch Tree Academy team! In my spare time I love to hike around and explore all the nature that Washington has to offer. I enjoy climbing, kayaking, and anything outdoors!
